[Java] Recommend good Data Structures and Algorithms book?

Thread Starter
I'm currently going through material in Java following the syllabi for some intro classes at the University I'm going to be transferring to next year so that I can test out of them. I'm almost done with the very basic/intro stuff and am almost ready to move onto this. I currently have this Data Structures and Algorithms book:[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0470383267/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=0470398809&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1EF9KN7NDT4F9XZTXD0A"]Data Structures and Algorithms in Java[/ame] which is used for their class.

I'm looking for something a little more user friendly for quick learning. Any recommendations?

Thanks.

unfortunately no, i do not. Its pretty dry material.. Sedgewick is probably your best bet for algorithms, but I myself did not enjoy the text very much. [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Algorithms-Java-Parts-1-4-Pts-1-4/dp/0201361205"]Amazon.com: Algorithms in Java, Parts 1-4 (3rd Edition) (Pts.1-4) (0785342361209): Robert Sedgewick: Books[/ame] .

I absolutely would NOT recommend this one: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Data-Structures-Java-Collections-Framework/dp/0072369647"]Amazon.com: Data Structures and the Java Collections Framework (9780072369649): William Collins: Books[/ame] < i had to suffer through that one many years ago.. mad.gif

there was something else i wanted to say but forgot. if you +rep i will probably remember drum.gif
