Sandy Bridge gaming rig.

Thread Starter
Looking to upgrade my current rig onto something new. I was planing on stay with AMD and go with a phenom 965 BE, but with the release of sandy bridge, I may change my mind. Its only about $60 price difference, not too bad.

Here's what I picked out so far.

My AMD setup I posted in the AMD foums.

Looking for a mid range computer, nothing too high end. I do not need a 4Ghz CPU with four video cards running. I'm going to keep my video card (EVGA 260 core 216), power supply (Kingwin Lazer 850w), case (Tempest Evo) and peripherals. Everything else will be new. My budge is around $600-650+/-. I play at the the average, 1280x1024. Nothing is in stone yet. just looking around. After I get the upgrade, I will update my video card. Haven't picked out a CPU cooler yet. I may go with this Noctua Since, I like a quiet computer. I never did any overclocking before but I may try it out. Nothing huge. I plan staying with the setup for the next 3-4years.
