Information on Alienware Area 51 "Alienware-Approved 1000w PSU"

Thread Starter
I bought an Alienware Area 51 about three years ago and when I purchased it neither the website nor the system information document that was left on the desktop supplied any information about the PSU other than "Alienware-Approved 1000w PSU".

I am a bit hesitant to overclock very far with this PSU having no information on it and am wondering if anyone knows who the manufacturer is and if they are quality PSU's. Thank you.

Alienware PSUs are made by Delta, provided via Newton Power. Build quality is certainly very good, when we've seen them dissected. There hasn't been one put through a third party testing procedure to my knowledge, but I expect it's a solid performer.
