Currently running these settings in BIOS:
FSB: 286
Multiplier: 14x
DRAM Freq: 1520mhz
HT Link: 2002 mhz
CPU/NB: 2860 mhz

CPU Voltage: 1.45
CPU-NB Voltage: 1.3
DRAM Voltage: 1.65
NB Voltage: 1.28

Temps seem to be staying under 60 while running Prime95 which is a good sign but I will just leave it running for an hour and check back on the temps.

you shouldn't need voltage that high. these chips like to be cool, not massive volts. drop it down in increments until you find the minimum voltage necessary to maintain your OC and then run prime to see what kind of temps you get.

you should always use the stepping method to test out your gear and only use other ppls numbers as a general guide, you'll get a more stable and efficient OC every time.

Yeah fair enough, if I ever overclock again I will make sure to use the stepping method.

I ended up going with 1.42 I think and it seems to be quite stable with temps lower than 55 in prime95 which I'm very happy about. So far no freezing ( as I experienced a bit of freezing when I first started overclocking) and stable temps makes me a very happy man.

I do have last question, the multiplier keeps dropping to 4x when not on load which I know is a power saving technique and I don't mind too much though from my understanding shouldn't be happening as I have c1e disabled, cool n quiet disabled a few other settings disabled then I can't remember off the top of my head.

55 should be stable. as for the core reducer idk, you'll have to look at your mobo manual to see what you need to turn off to disable it.

glad to see you got it sorted out. if you have any other questions feel free to pm me
