Go with the X4 or X6. They are basically the same keyboard, but the X4 has a more subtle backlight. Despite the price difference I think its the better keyboard.

Can your keyboard do this?

Didn't think so.

(Note: it also registered the Print Screen button I pushed with my nose)

Neither can a X6. It's 2KRO.

I don't know why OCN has such a hard time with rollover. Even my dog knows that one.

The X4's macros work well and are easy to setup. Unfortunately the build quality of mine was pretty terrible, most of the paint scratched off the WASD+C keys within two weeks and now the space bar is missing some where my thumb rests on it during gameplay. Given the choice again for the £35 I paid, I'd see if I could buy something else with better build quality + no rollover problems but without the macro features as I don't use them.

Oh and as for bloatware, I'm pretty sure you have to install the itype software in order to make the macros work! 1.5MB process tongue.gif

Microsoft drivers induce delays for the multimedia keys. Most notably the sound control, but also the play/ pause/ next/ previous keys don't play well with winamp.

Perhaps not a huge issue to some, but I hate how laggy the multimedia buttons are. Sometimes I uninstall the Microsoft drivers for when I'm just multitasking/ listening to music/ watching video. And then they are perfectly responsive, with no delay, and work properly.

Laggy?

The multimedia buttons on my X4 are instant, even in game. The only time there is any kind of delay is when I'm loading a new map in TF2.

Oh, and I didn't know the X6 was 2KRO. The X4 surely isn't.

I just bought the G110 and started using it today, I am quite impressed with it, has a very tactile feel and making a macro is so easy!

Grab the G110. Most highly recommended of the three in my experience.

Just tell us how the Black Widow feels for you when you get it. I'm curious if it really is bad for gaming, but great for typing. At least it is under $80 and other mechanical keyboards go beyond $100+ easily.

That must be why I can't walk foward (w), crouch (ctrl), and reload (r) or circle strife and select a rocket launcher (5) in Serious Sam HD with a sidewinder X6. Any X6 will fail either combo. This was the only keyboard that I've ever used where 2kro actually effected me in game. From what I hear the X4 has it's own issues.
