Cleaned my block < 1 hour what do you think? (PICS) - Page 3

My buddy worked at a machine shop and I had to use a sonic cleaner on mine to get it clean.

I used the same as the OP for hours. I also used a thing called
Tarn-X

http://www.jelmar.com/TarnXbasic.htm

My problem was I thought the more PT nuke you put in the loop the better. They give you a huge bottle of it for so cheap. I put around 15 drops in my 1st loop and turned everything blueish green and left a ton of gunk in my block. I did a new block for the new system and went with 2 drops: ) my temps dropped blow 20. They were at 32 or so when it was all gunked up. Made a huge difference.

like what stuff?

Have you used vinegar? it will touch it and clean it way faster than ketchup

Also you going to sand and polish the block? You should be able to see your face in the block.

I used metal cleaner I don't remember what exactly it was called though.
No, I don't plan to lap it maybe later.

Here is what your lines look like after putting 15 drops of PT nuke, sorry for the cell phone pictures but I have a 8 MP EVO it's better then nothing.

You can see I used a brush and tired to clean the ends. Look at the amount of white gunk inside the lines. My temps went up to 12 c hotter after about a year like this.

These are tyagon clear lines BTW, and the last pic is the new setup
