2600k Overclock

Thread Starter
I'm not new by any means to overclocking...but have been a tad lazy about reading everything SB related. I just pressed the autotune button on my Asus p8p67 pro and it yieled 4738 mhz after doing its thing (103 x 46). How much head room do you guys think I have? It's currently being cooled by a corsair A70 and is running at about 25-35c idle according to speedfan 4.42.

you should be able to hit at least 5 Ghz at prob 1.4 volts.

just set multi to 50, base clock to 100.00, and voltage to 1.4, also make sure overvolt pll is enabled.

For some reason the core voltage is fluctuating on cpu-z from 1.14 to 1.44, is this normal?

That's not really realistic for an average chip from what I've seen. For HT off, sure.

I'd say 1.42v will get him 4.7 or maybe 4.8GHz. For 5GHz he'll need closer to 1.45-1.47 volts with HT on.

But maybe he has a great chip.
