2600k oc problem

I am not new to overcloking.

I got the 2600k on p67a-ud7 with a noctua nh-d14

In bios i have multi on 49* and vcore at 1.4volt
I EVEN have the LLC at level 2
cpu ppl at 1.74 (it help stab the system)

I run prime95 small ff and after about 30 mins i GET a bsod.

the temps are max at 75°C on highest core (lowest at 63°C)
The question is why am i getting a bsod

of i have turbo mode disabled , HT off , all power saving feature off ,except cpu thermal monitor thinggy.

I have the F6x bios (with overvolt fix turned on)

I have this awesome Mobo and the best aircooler and still i cant get the stupid system to stay stable.

What's the highest speed you've got stable so far?

Could just have a poor sample, 4.9GHz is a hefty OC.

1.40 volt
I can get 4842 MHZ with highest temp at 65°C full load but WITH HT OFF . STAB small FFT for 4 hours no errors. (prime95)

If i play crysis , metro 2033 ect , wont i loose performance for turning HT off ?

and btw isnt that a kinda poor OC i heard many ppl getting 5ghz super easy on air @ 1.4 volts or just above 1.4

I guess im cursed

Meh, I can't get 4.8 stable and I'm on water. I havent messed with pll yet or the beta bio's nor do I want to I tried up to 1.4 vcore after that I stopped... I even tried to skip 4.8 and go for the 5.0 with close to 1.5 v but its not worth it... 4.7GHZ is a good overclock... I wanted to hit the big 5.0 too tis life... maybe I will when they release a new bio's... its still a new platform... and 4.7 is awesome... im hovering around 60 deg C too bad I didn't go with a rx kit instead of the rs...

Why wont you use pll? Are your power savings and turbo turned off (try turning HT off it helped me)

What batch?

The max OC I've tried so far is 4.7GHz, at 1.42v. Kept my LLC at 1.80v.

At 1.4v, you have to be from batch 208 or something else amazing in order to get that high of a clock at around 1.4v. I'm assuming with HT on.

Why exactly did you buy a 2600K... the extra $100 is for threading.
