Yeah, I figured as much. I backed up almost everything on it...I think the only stuff I couldn't were useless files anyway that I won't really miss (Thank God...)

Well, I don't know how well RMA'ing it is going to go, since according Seagate the drive I have was part of an OEM package, so I'd have to go back to the vendor and since it's second-hand, I don't know who owned it before. I've talked to the place I bought it from and while they can't give me a refund, they'll take it off for testing and see what they can do about replacing it.

I ran the program error10 suggested, and the short answer of the results is that apparently the drive's well on it's way to failing (estimates within the next 24 hours)

Guess I'm off to the shops tomorrow. Thanks guys, your help and advice has been invaluable
