[engadget] TankChair deemed too heavy to use on UK streets - Page 3

the tracks would actually distribute the weight better then wheels, because there is a greater contact area.im willing to bet it has a better weight distribution per square then a normal wheeled chair

Fail of a comment.

Lets paralyze you from the waist down. Lets give you a disease that causes you to lose mobility. Then you may think of all the amazing opportunities this would provide an individual over your standard weak wheeled machine. Being able to go through a field with your kids and dog, the beach / sand. Over snow that hasn't been cleared, up and down steeper inclines or uneven terrain.

I think this is amazing and a step in the right direction for a recreational vehicle for the disabled or those with limited mobility!

EDIT
-----

Yes - I could also see it being used for the reason you mentioned. I looked at your comment and thought of it initially as a jab towards both the chair and the disabled. Sorry man!

Howe and Howe made a Rip Chair

It looks a little wider then the one in Britan, but the wheel chair can come off the tank plat form.
