Hey.

I want to udate bios to 1053 update, but I'm not sure how :=)
Thing is I don't have a USB flash..

I only have a empty CD. Thats it.

What I do? I downloaded the bupdater and the .rom file.

Actually the only way I was able to update mine was by using a USB flash drive with the DOS updater.

You have more than one way on the Asus boards to update the bios, some more preferred/safe than others. You can always use a USB flash of course with the utility from their site, and this is usually the recommended way. You can also boot directly into the BIOS and use the EZFlash program under the Tools section, but doing this for me just stated it was not a correct ROM file. Lastly the AI Suit II program has the Asus Update program which should be able to download and flash the bios from there.

I would try the last two options since you don't have a bootable flash/floppy to try.

Yup you can, which is pretty cool, but when I did this it just stated that the ROM file was not a valid BIOS. When I ran it off the flash drive, it worked fine though..?

Not sure if all the transitions for EFI are yet worked out by Asus smile.gif
