PSU Squeals at Mouse Wheel Scrolling

Why the crap does my PSU make a faint squealing noise wheen I use the scroll wheel on my mouse?! My previous PSU did this and I eventually upgraded it last summer. Now this one is doing the same thing?!?!?!

Why would a PSU ever do that???

It's something on the +5VSB circuit vibrating, an inductor or the transformer, or maybe a blown cap.

Was your lost PSU a TX650 as well?

No, my previous PSU was a Cooler Master RS-500-PCAR-A3. So I just figured I was operating too close to 500W. Then I purchased this Corsair 650W - and I know I'm not using too much of that. If a 800W would prevent this, then I'm totally onboard with this overkill PSU guys.

Also I just noticed it only does it at certain websites??? I can go over to the Avsim Forums and get it to squeal no problem, but then I come back over to OCN and I can't replicate it.

Perhaps it's something with the mouse, causing the PSU to squeal. Have you tried a different mouse?

Oh, and a higher wattage PSU won't do anything.

Turn off C1E and C-State from BIOS and report back if the noise goes away!!

Just tried switching from a Microsoft wireless mouse to a Logitech wireless mouse - problem persists.

hmm, use MSI Afterburner to see the GPU usage %. Maybe when you are scrolling, somehow the gpu gets used (maybe there is like a video on the website or something or flash?). Just a thought though. Honestly, this is like such a random thing... you gotta try all the weird stuff. lol. Move the computer's position, too?

Are you sure it's a PSU?

Do the wireless mice connect to your PC via a USB dongle?

There are few screenshots on the page that's causing it. I need to head in to work, but I'll try the MSI Afterburner when I get back home.
