If you wanted to try this again it would be a good idea to try and install the Nvidia drivers from the proper binaries.

I'll help you if you want, I've had a lot of work with wine but if you don't want to use it that's coo.
I removed the AUR drivers (nvidia-all) and went back to nvidia and nvidia-utils since I am no longer using the ck kernel.

Thanks for this thread TFB, I had many problems with WINE, I have crossover now, but I haven't had the time to mess with it. Too many Windows machines coming in with their normal problems.

Ahhh, but you could go and install the drivers from their site. That's what I always do. I never trust drivers from a package manager in any form. Normally you have to get the GLX separately. Yeah, they have the lib32-nvidia-utils. Either way you could have posted and I'm sure we could have gotten it to work for you. =P

[edit] Yup, you'd need to make sure lib32-nvidia-utils are installed.

Code:
    usr/
    usr/lib32/
    usr/lib32/libcuda.so
    usr/lib32/libcuda.so.1
    usr/lib32/libcuda.so.260.19.36
    usr/lib32/libGL.so

    usr/lib32/libnvidia-glcore.so.260.19.36

    usr/lib32/libOpenCL.so.1
    usr/lib32/libOpenCL.so.1.0.0
    usr/lib32/libXvMCNVIDIA.a
    usr/lib32/libXvMCNVIDIA.so.260.19.36
    usr/lib32/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so
    usr/lib32/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1
    usr/lib32/vdpau/
    usr/lib32/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so
    usr/lib32/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so.1
    usr/lib32/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so.260.19.36
    usr/share/
    usr/share/licenses/
    usr/share/licenses/lib32-nvidia-utils
If they are I'd still recommend using the official ones. =P It seemed every time I had to install/update xorg with Arch I had to re-install the drivers. I tried the pacman ones but the official ones seemed to work better. =S Idk, that's what I always tell people to do.

What problems did you have? By the way if you do run POL I suggest grabbing the latest from their site. You don't have to compile - just extract and run.

It didn't work lol. I'll have to try again at some point. I just reinstalled arch since there was some behavior I didn't like and CBA to fix it.

eh, wine is usually a hit or miss, one version can be super awesome, then your distro goes and updates it and it just lacks and breaks everything you got working on it.

i try to lock it down once i find a version that works well for me, and don't go above it, right now i'm on the latest version from winehq, it seems to work fairly decent without a lot of tweaking done to it.

winetricks helps out getting the little things working.
