Software for accessing my office PC from home? - Page 3

Two that I've used are TeamViewer and RAdmin. Teamviewer is quick, simple, works and is idiot-friendly (which I why I use it to help people who have messed up their computers). Rarely ever needs configuring.
But I always prefer RAdmin for my own systems. Okay, it's not free, but it's much better. If your CPU supports Intel AMT, you can turn the computer on from shutdown, remotely. It works before logon (which is something I always have trouble with when using TeamViewer) and uses a Mirror Driver so is much less laggy than TeamViewer.
The downside is that there is no way you can install the server (the computer to be controlled) without admin rights, though there is a "portable" viewer (client - the controlling computer) which runs without admin rights. Also, it requires a lot of configuring, namely port forwarding. Unless you can port forward, forget it, it's not going to happen.

LogMeIn's nice due to not worrying about ports, pretty fast too for a browser client.

I vote for team viewer. I have set it up on my gaming rig, work rig, htpc and various family computers who need help. When I'm not at a computer that has team viewer or install restrictions, I use team viewer browser or portable and also have the app on my android phone. All of those systems are connected to my team viewer account so I don't need to remember any session names or access passwords.
