Help with Creating a Speaker system

I recently aquired a woofer that "Dosen't work anymore" and seeing as i like to mess with things, i thought i would open it up and take a look at it. You know could be a blown fuse right? Well no such luck on that, but i was able to find out that the speaker was still in good condition, it was just the onboard amp that was the problem. So i decided to go ahead and try to make my own amp for it. And with the help of instuctables.com and radio shack :0 i got it to work. And now, since i have a midrange/tweeter at my availability as well, i want to try and make a whole cabinet. I am planning on making another amp for the mid/tweeter, so i will have pretty much full range.

Now this brings me to the point where i need some help. I would like to make a low-pass filter for the woofer, and either a band pass or high pass filter for the mid/tweeter (i haven't decided which yet). The problem is, i do not know where to put it into my pre-existing amp. I will list the amp schematic and the filters' schematics below.

Thanks for your help

You can get nice floorstanding speakers and subs for decent prices now...what kind of sound quality are you looking for? What range of ohms will you be running?

Well this is more of just a learning side project. One of the key things i like about this is that i will make it run off of 9v batteries, so it can be portable. And ill probably just keep it at 4 ohms. I'm really not looking for a great speaker, just something to keep me busy.

And while we are on the topic of Audio, i have another question, what reciever would you recommend for me. I am running 5.1 now, but it isnt true 5.1 because there is no digital in. That is mainly all i am looking for is digital, because my tv has an out, and i play xbox alot.

And cheap is always nice

Thanks
