I don't have any spare HDMI cable so I'm using a DVI->HDMI cable smile.gif And yeah, I have speakers. But they're a 5.1 set and are directly plugged into the pc.

I'm just wondering: if you, for example, open this pic http://www1.sapphiretech.com/us/gallery/img/661/11188-00_HD6950_1GBGDDR5_DP_2miniDP_HDMI_2DVI_PCIE_FBC.jpg and zoom in (+). Then quickly move your scroll slider up and down the entire time...do you begin to notice a line?
yes im able to see the line while scrolling......

im using a dvi to vga adapter......

When I open the pic and move really slow...I see a lot of lines moving around. It's really weird.

Affraid I don't have any crt lying around.

I have used this monitor before with a GTX480/HD5870. 100% sure I didn't have it then...or atleast I didn't notice it.

Maybe I forgot to install some program....Java? I don't know.

I've also ran a RE5 bench and I'm pretty sure it didn't happen there (as it's a game)

one more thing have u by any chance done windows update.....recently....
coz the drivers which windows downloads for ur monitor can also be the reason for this problem.....

Not using vertical sync...The option for ATI is at game options so I'm pretty sure it only affects games.

And yeah, haven't used WIndows update yet so I couldn't of gotten a bad driver.

The question is: Why does it happen on internet/Windows but not in games (Don't know if you have it on games too, ghost?)

I have an Acer S243HL btw

I have this same issue. I've had it with five different Nvidia cards and multiple different driver sets. I just stopped caring because it sure isn't going away.
Finally an update
