[CVG]Unreal Engine couldn't handle Crysis 2 - Crytek - Page 8

I'd rather play a game based on the Unreal engine than Crytek's. Mainly because I can PLAY the game without having some insane rig, and even then who the hell likes playing shooters at 30-40 fps? Thats what I don't get about Crysis, I never bother buying it because of how ****ty it runs. Shooters running at 30 fps? no thanks.

Jesus. My old rig pulled 30 FPS out of it. 1280x1024

My current rig pulls 45 FPS with 4xAA on it. 1080p

You build should pull aswell 50 FPS constant on Crysis.

Don't give excuses, your computer is plenty powerful of maxing it. It also retails at $10. What else do you want from the best looking and most innovative shooter ever?

Good graphics need good power. End of the story. If you want to max Crysis on a HD5450, better bash your head in the wall. No matter how well optimised the engine is, your card just doesn't have the raw power.

Unreal 3 supports a max of 8192*8192 textures.

I think it looked better than Crysis when it came out.

I will say no more.

I don't understand why people still say Crysis is impossible to play smoothly. It plays perfectly smooth on my 470. Heck, when it first came out I played it on my old laptop which just had a 7900GS. It wasn't perfectly smooth, but it could run it, and it looked great!

Anyway, they released the System Requirements for Crysis 2. All you need is a dual core and an 8800GT or greater. Link
