That is like red-lining your car for hours! You can't expect the engine to last long if you do things like that! In fact, most people recommend 20 runs MAX for LinX.
so long as our temps are fine there is really nothing to worry about when doing this to your CPU. The reason you dont put your car in the red is because it is made of moving parts that will not hold up to the stress, a cpu can hold on for a very long time since it is just working with more volts and running faster but with no moving parts. I have run my CPU with more that 400 runs at max stress total with IBT (a version of a Linx stress test). The most i have done all in a row was when i finally got it stable at 4.2GHz which was for 250 runs at MAX. This really should not be degrading so long as you overclocked correctly. Which is why when you left all of the settings to Auto you may have hurt your processor a little bit. Now since it might be a bit degraded you will have to settle for a lower OC or put more volts into it and just deal with higher temps. Under Linx stressing anything under a max of 75C is just fine because no app will ever stress it as much as the Linx did. Mine runs at 69C max, but used to run at 74C max before the Vcore randomly destabilized and called for less Vcore for some reason.
