By the way, you can play on up to 5 machines at the same time.
No smart person you cannot play on 5 machines at the same time, as it states clearly you can install on 5 machines. You can't even run steam on more than one machine at the same time.

People like you who say "stop whining" are the reason why these companies get away with retarded DRM like this. If you can't handle the "whining" then why did you even bother clicking on this thread?

Unless something has changed since Crysis AND Crysis Warhead, you cannot simply go online and revoke installations. You have to download a special program and do it before you reformat, reinstall or build a new machine.

Well then I guess they should read up on the product they're buying and do some backups, cuz they're getting the DRM either way.

That's your opinion and that's fine, but clearly EA differs.

In this case your not getting one but 3 drm systems, install limit, steam and another system mentioned in the fine print.

Yes it is my opinion, do you feel better now that you pointed that fact out?

3 DRMs and it'll still probably go unnoticed by most people. Like I said before, no biggie, and yes, I know this is my opinion.

Yup, I do feel better since you stated it as a fact.

I think the point that people are trying to make is, no its not hard to get your installs back (most of the time) but it is a "hoop" you must jump through, while people who pirate the game don't have any such hoop.

People who actually spend money seem to get screwed by DRM or at the very least have to go out of their way because of it. While pirates not only get to enjoy the game for free but also don't have to do any "hoop" jumping.

considering that one of the things steam toutes is that you can play anywhere on any computer, this completely goes against it.

I wasnt going to buy this to begin with, but now i wont even think about it when its budget.

Any DRM on a steam game is retarded. I mean you can see that they bought the game. Why exactly are they worried that you bought it from them. I mean honestly they can see my steam account and all the games i bought, i cant magically add more steam games to it without purchasing them.

Just goes to show that EA is still the evil scum they always have been. wait til you see the DRM on the new Dragon age and Mass effect.

I am going to give the copy paste method that Bitemarks and bloodstains suggested.

Which folder would I need to copy, the whole steam folder?

I just don't think any game sold through steam should come with any other form of DRM period.

This is DRM I don't mind at all. If any of my games has this, I just install it in a folder marked "LIMITED" so I know I need to un-authorize them when I need to reformat.

We will always have DRM in our games, and this is DRM I'd rather have than other alternatives.
