WARNING: Dead Space 2 DRM Install limit - Page 5

So much whining. They do this to prevent key sharing.

I love how people don't think the company who created and funded the development of the game should control how it is used.

If you write a game, then you can give it out to everyone for free or you can sell it to 1 person who can give it to everyone else for free.

They made the game, they can do whatever they want with it.

No, just the EA DRM. I'm reasonably sure of this because it's available on Impulse and they don't sell stuff with Steamworks built-in.

It's interesting you can play on 5 authorized PCs at once though.

know what i love. the fact that they can put it on their game, and i can not buy it because of that reason.

Its their loss, they got charged for the DRM from the people who made it, and then they lose money because people like me dont buy DRM bull****, and the pirates still crack it and play it.

So in the end they lost more money than had they not DRMed. I do agree with they can do whatever they want, which is what i do.

The DVD version isn't linked with Steam at all.

Maybe they make some money too. Maybe some people that are desperate to play the game the moment that is released bought it because no crack is available yet thanks to the DRM. Hell, the game was available for download even before today, the official release date. Maybe those people wouldn't have bought it if they could've simply downloaded it and start playing.

Do they expect me to only own this game for a few years? ***. I format at least once a year. So basicly I am limited to like 5 years of game play? Such BS.

Which folder would I need to copy, the whole steam folder?

I just don't think any game sold through steam should come with any other form of DRM period.
That what I have done, pretty sure you could get away with just steam apps folder

Awesome, penalize ppl for buying the game. It's like they want you to pirate it?
