Intel 775 gigabite MOBO frying PSU then ...?!?

my gigabite board killed my psu?? but didnt know it, diagnosed it with my friend same brand and model psu, same result. went to put it back in his case and now his computers doing same thing wont start no bios screen nothing my computer turned on for 1 second shuts down for 2 seconds then repeats. his computer apears to stay on when mine dosnt both unable to get to bios HELP!!!

It's not unheard of if your motherboard has some electric fault. It could be shorting or overloading the PSUs. Check for obvious signs of heating in the VRM are (between the socket and back I/O, remove the heatsink if you have one. If there's something that can brake a PSU it should be around there.
