Need Help , Intel i7 2600K Overclock on Gigabyte P67A-UD3P

I am having trouble overclocking this cpu on this board,

does anyone have any tips? like voltages, and other settings?

I have a D2 stepping chip, and I've heard it can run up to 5.2 ghz but I would be happy with just 4.8 ghz or 5 .

Thank you.

List the settings you're using, also fill in your system specs so we know what you're working with. These boards are hella overclockers.

Oh, Ok I'm running

i7 2600k
Gigabyte P67A-UD3P
2 x 4GB Mushkin Silverline DDR3 1333mhz
2 x 4GB G.SKill Sniper DDR3 1333mhz
OCZ Mod x Stream 600W PSU
OCZ 32GB Onyx SSD
Corsair H50 CPU Cooler
nVidia GeForce 430 GT graphics

I've gotten Intel Burn test to pass on 4.5GHZ but after a while , the computer went into standby by itself - I didn't do anything to it.

...
In bios I have no idea what I'm doing, I haven't touched the voltages

I haven't updated the bios to F6a

But I did go ahead and Disable C1EST and that whatever.

Looks like one issue is the different Ram sticks may be holding you back.

Post some of your Bios settings and I guarantee that someone will be here shortly to help you reach your goals.

If thats the case, can I ditch the Mushkins and add G.Skill RipJaws instead?

Will RipJaws mix with Snipers? since they are both G.Skill Brand

Like I said, I didn't change anything in bios, so everything is running at stock right now, turbo and all.

Update your bios. If your going for 4.8ghz+, you definitely need it.

Also, overclocking on sandy bridge is almost entirely dependent on the cpu itself, so if your 2600k isn't a 5.0ghz clocker, it just ain't.

But, is there any settings I have to toy with like the PLL Overvoltage and stuff?

yes turn on CPu PLL Overvoltage, disable turbo mode, disable all power saving features, go into voltage section, turn on LLC, and set vcore to 1.35v, keep increasing the multiplier until it fails to boot, then increase the vcore voltage more, stop at 1.45-1.5 or until you hit 80c load. FYI 24/7 you don't want to run the processor at 1.45v, but you can if you have the cooling, you should only need 1.35v for 4.8-5ghz.

IF you CANNOT hit 4.8ghz or 5ghz, go into BIOS, ENABLE turbo mode, set all the multipliers the same, and then increase TDp to 300 and TDC to 300.

I have the corsair h50 liquid cooling

I've upped the multiplier to 47, and now testing intel burn at maximum stress

So far so good.
