Really looking forward to this game. I hope the SP campaign is good (and not too short).

According to wikipedia, PC version is going to have better graphics and DX11 support

Quote:
Homefront's PC version has been outsourced to Digital Extremes, a Canadian developer responsible for numerous Unreal Tournament games and Bioshock ports. Frank Delise, the executive producer of the PC version has stated that the PC version of the game will feature exclusive content and dedicated servers. Additional exclusive features include clan support, DirectX 11 graphics, and first person vehicle cockpits.[21][22] It has also been confirmed that Homefront will be released on Steam.[23]

Anyone with a decently clocked dual core, will be able to run this game perfectly.

My previous E8400 @ 4ghz had around the same raw power as a Q6600 @ stock speeds.

Also, you need to remember that recommending a "2ghz Quad" is rather vague, since a highly clocked dual core, will give higher FPS than such a lower clocked quad.

Clock speed still matters, trust me.

Is this game about Communists invading US

The damn image on the front is a mad blinded by communism.

Great....

Am I getting this right?

What's funny is if it was backwards, this would be all over the news.

Watched Homefront trailer.

Looks good, eh, BO and BC2 looked good too.

They all slap icing on it hardcore. Till you buy it and play it, you really see how crappy it is.

I for one hope this games pushes my quad hard, and makes my GPU squeal. I don't care if they come out and tell me it's a straight port, because even ports can be good games. Quit being elitists all the time. When PC games have a buy/pirate ratio of about 1/10, you guys should be surprised we even get thrown a bone as often as we do.
Buy/pirate ratio of 1:10? Whose rectum have you been pulling that info from? And we're sorry for expressing distaste when developers decide to shaft us with buggy console ports, "Cuz coding for the PC is haaard. It's really, really hard. Makes us wanna go poopie!" I, for one, don't want to spend money every year on hardware because games which feature engines that could originally run on Semprons, but due to horrible porting, require a $300 CPU/GPU now.

BTW, there are like 4 games that are decent ports; the rest are buggy, CPU hogging piles of ****e.

TBH, the game doesn't look that great to me, especially considering those requirements. In fact, judging from the screenshots, Batman: Arkham Asylum looks loads better and will probably run better as well. Gameplay looks cool, though.
