Budget build $900 - $1200 NEED HELP

Thread Starter
I'm in the process of buying parts for a new rig, I have alot of different people telling me to go with different builds to get more bang for my buck.

The purposes of this computer are: school (writing papers and whatnot), gaming (i want top of the line), and video editing, perhaps 3d modeling.

the budget is anywhere from $900 - $1200

I was told you guys can get me something great. I can have ati, Nivida, amd, whatever.

Thanks in advance.

I'm i'm breaking any rules I am very sorry.

Ok, let's see, $900-$1200.... AMD Phenom II x4 or x6, GTX460 to GTX570 or if you prefer, ATI 5770 to AMD 6970, 890FX motherboard, 4GB DDR3 memory, and a 750w PSU, for starters. Next, would you be reusing any parts out of your current PC? If not, then you will also need atleast 1 HDD, A CD/DVD burner and an OS. If you also need a monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse you can forget about $900-$1200. So there, That's my $0.02 worth

i'd say get a 2500k ,UD3P/UD4 if you going to SLI a 460 , 4gb ddr3 and a 650w PSU . go to thepiratebay for the OS , HDD + ODD and it will be about $1050 -1200 depends of your choice of brands

My opinion: Hyper 212+ isn't much better than the stock hsf. I had it and it just wasn't a good cooling device.
