Rasa Showdown, input needed...

Thread Starter
I am getting a watercooling set up when I get my tax refund but need input.
I was thinking about also getting a new case to mount the radiator internally, though I havent decided which one to get.

I have been set on getting an RX240 kit, but I now fear the radiator will be awfully thick for an internal mount on the cases I am looking at.

So, instead I am now considering getting the RS240 kit and buying an additional 120mm radiator at the read exhaust, thus adding another 50% radiator space for my loop.

So here is the question for you: Which do you think would cool better?

1) $195 - A top-mounted RX240 kit

or

2) $205 - A top-mounted RS240 kit with a rear-mounted Black Ice GT Stealth 120 Radiator

I agree 2 you'll get way better results, and if you can cram it all in your case more power to you.

I am thinking about this case, I think it will mount the rs240 easily as a blowhole exhaust while still allowing room for the Black Ice 120 at the rear exhaust.

you probably will have room for those radiators, but not enough for the fans it looks too tight, you may just want spend some extra dough on a better external setup with a fancy fan grill. Though those pics aren't great and I can't be sure just measure carefully.

I did exactly what you're looking to do, just finished it in fact.
RS240 at top, RX120 at the back in a HAF 922, both rads internal.

It was TIGHT. The only way to make them fit is by having one of the top rad fans being external. I don't know how your case compares to mine in this dimension but keep it in mind.

Also depending on your motherboard, keep in mind whether your rad will interfere with mobo heatsinks or ram clips.

My temps are more than what I expected since I'm cooling my gpu as well, and my noise is whisper quiet, but thats mainly the GT 15s and fan controller talking.

I vote for spending the extra 50 dollars on an NZXT phantom if it goes on sale again, and getting the RS360 and modding the case to mount the rad in the top like i did with mine.
