Hey, I've got something similar going on using an Asus Mainboard. Speedfan shows my CPU fan (the one on an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2) at 100% when it's at 1854 rpm, yet the fan is rated for speeds of about 2500 rpm. What gives? Any idea on how I can boost the speed?

If the fan is hooked into the CPU fan header, then run your CPU at full load for 5 minutes and see what happens to the speed. If it's not plugged into the CPU fan header, then there's your problem.

That's a PWM fan, correct? How many pins is it?

3 pins, and yes, it's a PWM fan. . Sorry, I have no idea what a CPU fan header is. The fan is connected to a small white 3-pin socket on the motherboard. I have marked the location of the connection on the picture:

EDIT: No change in fan speed. Sitting at 1830-1860 RPM @ 60 Celsius.

Wait, what? The fan has a 3 pin connector, and it's PWM? Are you sure? So it's plugged into CPU_FAN, correct? Does it use up all four pins, or is there an empty pin there?

Get a multimeter and check the supplied voltage.
Once again...

Sorry, I was talking complete rubbish - you were right, it's a 4 pin socket and 4 pin connector. I must have got confused with something else. And yes, it's plugged into CPU_FAN. I take it this is the CPU fan header you were referring to?

Yep, sure is. Does the fan speed increase under load? PWM fans usually run at lower speeds with lower temperatures.
