Reservoir? - Page 2

Assuming similar build materials (typically acrylic), the diffs between reservoirs include the number of port hubs (can use different ports as fill/drain/parallel), available installation orientations for ease of refilling/draining and tubing routing simplification and liquid storage volume (again, for ease of refilling/draining). Aesthetics aside, the basic purpose of a reservoir is all of the above. Choose what you will based on how you choose to lay out your loop.

But I actually meant to say reservoir, not pump, haha. Sorry!

I'm planning on getting one of those LittleDevil PC-V8 so I'm not sure what kinda reservoir to get. The square ones or the circular ones. I just want it to fit somewhere inside the case.

What's the difference?
Circular EK reservoirs are rather easy to fit into any case. I had to use double sided tape + industrial strength velcro to get my square XSPC res top to stick to the side of my case

Are there pros and cons other than those to choose a square reservoir over the circular ones?

Frozen-Q's T-Virus reservoir is pure win and then some.

The FrozenQ one's look great! A bit pricey but thank goodness I don't like the look of the helix since I'm going to be using silver antimicrobial tubing.

Anyone have any experience with FrozenQ?

Also, what's the difference between the reservoirs with the multi-options and the ones with just single output? Sorry...stupid person here

They just give you more options on where to put the barb/hose where some only have 2 holes and don't give you a choice.

Would cooling more than 1 GPU have an effect on the type of reservoir one should select? Or does that really not matter at all?

Doesn't matter. Reservoir is for looks/makes it easier to fill. Big vs small is purely aesthetic/dependent on how much room you have. Like people mentioned, a res is a res. You don't even need one, but it certainly makes filling easier.

Thanks for the help. I'm thinking of getting a LittleDevil PC-V8...where would I put a 250mm reservoir if I got that case? Would it have to be mounted vertically somewhere?
