OC Phenom II X4 810 temp?

Hi all!

This is my first post in this forum.

Ive had some trouble lately with the well known blue screen. So today, i lost manymany hours of work because of something i havent saved for a while. So i figured it was time to fix the problem. First initial thougth was that the error where within the RAM, so i surfed around and found a couple tweeks to see if i got it more stable.
After this i figured, since i got a new aftermarket CPU cooler, id just start to tune up my CPU also, but im really not sure about the temp.
Im using Hardware Monitor to see the temp but im really sure witch of the given temps i should go after, i have 1 at tempratures\CPU and 4 at AMD Phenom II X4 810\Tempratures. Witch one is correct?

This is my setup:
Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P Mainboard
AMD Phenom II x4 810 CPU
OCZ Platinum XTC DDR3 1600MHz 2x2gb sticks giving a total 4gb RAM
Thermalright True Copper CPU cooler(damn, this thing is huge) with 2x120mm fans
PowerColor Radeon HD 4870 Videocard

Right now im running at 3250GHz - 13x250 @ 1.5v core
And the memory is running at 1333Mhz (was unstable at 1666mhz with OC...)
7-7-7-24 and 1t/2t timing at 1t, trfc at 160ns. DDR3 Voltage: 1.65v CPU vid: 1.35v

Ive been running OCCT for 40mins now, no errors yet. CPU temp is shown as 54 celcius under tempratures\cpu and all cores shows 46 celcius under AMD ***\tempratures

Im hunting for atleast 3.5ghz... Any suggestions?

The temperature showing up under the name of your processor are readings from the diodes. These will be most accurate. The other temperature is most likely from the motherboard socket. Usually it will be 10-15C cooler.

Woh, quick answer, thanks! smile.gif

Okey, but the wierd thing is that the one that isn't under the cpu category is actually 10C warmer :O

Anyways, one hour test is now completed without errors, time to do a restart and tweek a little more :=)

Thank you. Nice spec sheet, and i see vcore is rated to 1.425v. I'm now running at 1.5v, should i try lowering it to 1.425v and see whats happening? Whats the highest core voltage i should use before cpu will break down?
