I'm guessing the BIOSes were simply added to the sites I came across on those dates. Figures. I knew '08 was too good to be true, heh.
Oh well, the RAM guy replied first, so I'll be getting another 1GB stick tomorrow. Oh, right, if you have some spare cash, check out RAM on ebay. I found a 2x1GB dual-channel kit of PQI DDR400 low-latency ram (those little buggers run at 2/2/2/5
) for 80 bucks. However, it's a limited-time (3 day IIRC) offer. The standard price is 200 bucks
THat Asus board is a micro ATX board, and since it has integrated graphics, they decided not to add an AGP slot. Seems weird not to, when it's such a good chipset and dual channel DDR, even for an ATX board, but they decided to only put PCI slots in there. I was looking at the Asus site with Opera, and this browser can't render the page properly (no photo); I then used IE8 and there it was.. in all it's no AGP glory.
80 bucks for 2x1GB of DDR ? Yikes! Thanks, but I'll just search for a single 1GB stick like you. The cheaper, the better. Still have the case, the GPU, and the PSU to buy.
