gigabyte ud4 and bus speed?

Thread Starter
Wondering who else has the Gigabyte UD4 and has their bus speed drooping?

In CPU-Z, when my bus speed was set to 100MHz in BIOS, my Bus Speed reads 99.8 MHz.

If I set my bus speed to 100.2 MHz, I get 100MHz in CPU-Z.

No harm done by doing this I hope? I've managed a decently low voltage OC: 4GHz @ 1.23v (seeing if I can do lower voltage).

Completely normal. The chips always hover very close to their set clock speed.

Ah, I see.

I think I'll manually set it to 100.2MHz so I can get a set 100MHz for a regular clock speed with even zeros at the end. I hate seeing "Core Speed: 3996.1MHz", rather than "Core Speed: 4000.0MHz" biggrin.gif

Correct, I have mine set to 100.5 for just a touch over my rated OC.

So you've undervolted and overclocked? Or do i not know the stock volts of the 2600k?
It's the board. Some read higher and some lower. I also have my UD4 set to 100.2 so I get a 5001mhz.

Why are you shooting so low on a overclock for that chip. Turbo runs it to 3.8ghz by itself? 4ghz is barley over stock.

You can get 4.5ghz with only 1.25v and 4.7ghz with 1.35v

That's not undervolted unless he got a really bad VID.

I too have to set it to 100.2MHz. At 5Ghz I actually get 5001.7MHz.

4.5Ghz stable at 1.25v on a 2600k with H/T enabled? I think I'm gonna go try that and run some prime95 and or linpack passes to see if it's really stable.

Yea... at 4.5Ghz with only 1.25v, I couldn't even get windows to finish loading without a BSOD let alone open prime95! Perhaps you were referring to clocks Without HT enabled and or your 2500k?
