OCZ Vertex 2 plugged into Sata3 port?

I have my OCZ Vertex 2 plugged into my Sata3 port.

I'm wondering, would I get better speeds plugging it into my Sata2 port on my motherboard? or does it matter?

Has absolutely no bearing on whether its in the SATA 2 or SATA 3 port

Do you mean Sata 6Gbps? If so, it will not make a difference. For something like a Corsair SSD that is made to use Sata 6Gbps you will see a difference.

If you had a Corsair C300, THEN SATA 3 would make a difference, other SSD's don't utilize it yet

Thanks.

I was just making sure that using a newer SATA3 port wouldn't adversely effect my SATA2 stuff.

No, he means SATA III. That's the standard name, not SATA 6.0Gb/s.
