Hey guys . I am thinking of getting a new CPU i like my E8500 but some times i feel it has no get up and go .
This 468.02$ i7-940(--with http://www.everbuying.com/New-Intel-...0-p-11290.html)!!!
Such a price, a bit weird~~~~~~

Its not so much that the i7 is old, more that Sandy Bridge is newer, and a great price.

you do realise you need to buy a new motherboard to support your new chip yes? so in the end youll be spending about $150-$200 on top of the cpu just to support that chip in your rig.

Yoo.. So u wanna upgrade just the processor? Buy an extreme quad for socket 775.
Or deal with extra cost. Upgrading to socket 1155, 1156 or 1366 will need a new motherboard and memory too.
