More effective than.....? A AP121? Yes. A UK3k, no.

You're missing the point. It doesn't matter. If I strap them on my heatsink, I'll post results.

Couldn't be bothered, yet, putting the 2 new Silverstones on the heatsink, so I strapped them to the side panel (giving me 4 in total). Temps are awesome!

Idle (Ambient 21c)

What speeds are you running at? And what were your load temps, previously?

Before I put the 4 Silverstones on the side I had an Antec Big Boy 200mm there. Load temps were ~35c. My CPU's @ 3.3GHz 1.312v on the core

Oh, you replaced the 200mm fan. I thought you were using the Silverstones to replace the TY140's on your SA.

BTW, my AP141 came yesterday. It's a nice fan, no doubt, but I'm still playing with it to see if it's worth the price for performance, in the end.

It is quieter than my Noiseblocker S3 (roughly same performance as GT-AP15), and pushes roughly the same air, or just slightly less, so that's a good thing. I also noticed the braiding on the wires was done very well.

I'm more than happy with my temps and figured the work involved in changing the Silver Arrow fans wouldn't be worth it.Having said that tho, knowing me there'll come a day when I'll have to find out if the Silverstones can lower temps even more

I thought you were going to test it, why this thread had caught my interest so much.
