I have this poor q6600 processor at 3.00ghz right now
but when ever i tried to increase the frequency it failed
i tried to give it some more voltage but still doh.gif
i've also watched some tutorials on how to oc it but everyone had some bios settings which i can't find in my bios:confused:
so i took some pictures of my bios and i'd like to ask you guys which settings should i change to get a nice stable 3.60ghz:o

Personally I'd ebay a P45 or X48 board if you want a stable 3.6. But here goes:

1: Change your memory multiple to get a 1:1, I think it's 2.0D or something like that, but it should make the line below show "667 667".
2: Read a tutorial that goes over the basics of overclocking and voltages. The next thing you'll be doing is bumping VCore and MCH. MCH is the voltage across the NorthBridge, and I would guess with a P41 you'll be bumping that alot to get it to 400FSB. Starting points would be 1.35 VCore, 1.25 CPU Termination and 1.35 MCH. Leave the CPU termination (VTT) at 1.25 manually.

Just for reference, 3.6 can take anything from 1.43 to 1.5 VCore. And you may need 1.4+ on the MCH to get 400FSB. Or that P41 may just not be able to cut it.

Let us know where you get stuck. IF you're increasing VCore and not getting any more stable, it will be time to bump down your CPU multiple and add more MCH volts to find your mobo fail point.
