ENGTX 460 Direct CU Responding problems

Thread Starter
I have had this ENGTX 460 Direct CU for about a month now it worked fine on my old system but i recently changed to a Gigabyte GA-890XA-UD3 Motherboard, I have a Corsair 1000watt PSU and my GPU is never above 45c and my CPU is an AMD Phenom II X4965 3.4ghz if that helps at all.
My GPU stops responding every now and then, screen pauses, turns black and restarts.

Drivers, or i had this problem mate. It's not seated in the slot properly, im guessing you've moved it around like a little bit carried it i dot know? anyway, i did that with mine found out in the end it wasn't plugged in properly. Take it out put a different card in if all works its just that then put your 460 back in and all should work, seems we have the same card and my symptoms were the same as yours this is highly likely

EDIT: they're awkward buggers to get seated in properly. just take it out put another in check it over, then put it back in and try not to carry it around or knock your case
