Hi all.
Currently I can go right now and buy a CM 690ii, but I want to know if I should save up some more for the 942. What would you guys do?

both cool just aswell. so do you need a full tower? what do you think looks better?
Both are good cases.
But I suggest the 690 II for your sig rig as your rig is relatively 'simple', particularly not having two cards with high thermal output. And so you do not 'need' the additional space and the extra air flow of the 942.

So, save the money for your next upgrade.

Both imo are really nice, depends on as stated above do you need the full tower? Also is there any budget concern as there is a pretty big price gap on them, either would be great if you ask me, im just cheap and would go for the 690 II tongue.gif then stick the cash back saved for something else

What is the main difference between a full tower and a mid tower case?
Isn't the 690II a like...huge mid tower case?

The 690 II is classified by Cooler Master as a mid size tower.

The differences between a mid size tower and a full size tower is the full tower has larger dimensions (L,W,H) all around most of the time - sometimes the width is about the same depending on the case.

Well, based off of the cases I've used I would recommend the CM 690 II Advanced.

http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6638
  • Stylish
  • Solid Construction
  • Excellent Cooling
  • Lots of internal room at a good footprint
  • Black Interior
  • Tooless Design
  • Reasonably priced
  • Good Cable Management

Throw some extra fans in there (Bottom Side Intake, bottom intake) and you'll have a case that cools like a champ at a reasonable level of noise. This case was a joy to work with. biggrin.gif
