I guess I flashed backwards! I bought a GTX470, flashed it into a 6600GT! I thought the point was buy an expensive card, flash to a lesser expensive card!

Somebody should PM me this flash.

So.....those of you who are so persistant that this is possible....
Have any of you successfully flashed your 460 to a 560? Yeah, that's what I thought .

how it can be different chip while its pin compatible with the 460 gpu pcb, cores count is same, rops same, everything is same crap except that blocked cluster. lol dont belive the cheap talk about the transistors.. we have a g80/g92 succesor here...

ok. someone here got the 460 and 560 here? could some1 do testing on stock 460 and 560 with 1 blocked cluster and same clocks as 460? this could easly show that they just improved the manufacturing proces (like intels c0 and d0 over the i7 cpus...) architecture remains unchanged. im putting 50$ for that that this testing will bring same results for both cards. do not belive the cheap talk from PR boys.

You guys need to learn how GPU's are made before you post this kind of nonsense, seriously.
First off ISN'T THIS OVERCLOCK.NET?
THOUGHT THE POINT WAS TO PUSH STUFF, TRY NEW STUFF, MAKE SOMETHING BETTER?
Yet you call some guy who was simply asking a question a idiot...
Last i checked you had to learn something before you knew it it just wasn't magicly implanted in your brain
