Will I see a big performance upgrade if i change my graphics card from a GTS450 to a Radeon HD6850

oh yesss.. a 6870 is nearly twice as fast. if not more

^^ incorrect. regardless of his resolution a more powerful video card will result in higher performance

however i would agree at your resolution an upgrade isnt a feasible upgrade i wouldnt reccomend u shell out for a anotehr video card as a GTS 450 could max crysis at that res lol..

So what u guys are telling me is that since my res is low the GTS450 can run very well and there is no point in upgrading

No. He will be able to pump out more AA, resulting in higher IQ and more performance versus his GTS 450.

OP: Yes, you will see higher performance. Though not as big as running in a higher res would be, you will still see a significant increase, especially if you pump the AA.

Are you wanting an increase because you're noticing performance problems? If you aren't noticing problems to begin with then no, you wont 'see' a big performance increase.
