So on the back of my mobo there is a blue light and I think may be a button that says clr CMOS. Any insight to what it is??

It will clear any setting's yo have entered in the BIOS, so what it basically does, is put everything back to defualt in the BIOS, if you have been medeling with anything in there and your computer doesn't post Quite handy if you overclock and your computer doesn't switch on, all you have to do it press it

That button will allow you to easily clear your CMOS (BIOS) settings, instead of messing with a jumper or pulling the battery out.

Hello.

Yes, I think that it is.

Please note that I was reading about this board and another user was referring to the Clear CMOS switch being blue and that they wanted to disable the "blue light".

You can always double-check with the Users Manual.

[edit] oops... sorry, I just realised that you seem to want to know what it does: It resets the BIOS settings to factory/stock settings.

Yes, it resets the BIOS options in case you brick your system and it doesn't boot.

It's useful when you overclocking to the point where your system doesn't boot. Although most mobos just automatically reset upon boot failure, some give you the option to manually reset your settings.
