coming along nicely..running out of money :(

right, here is my build log for my current project.

about 2 months ago, i bought everything in my sig rig.

thats what its looking like as of now.

today i cleaned the dust filters i didn't know i had on the front of my case, very dusty indeed, as my current case (antec 300) housed my athlon x2, 7600gso and some crappy asus 40 quid motherboard, which was my first ever custom build, uber-cheap, although my step-grandad built it, i chose parts, this current one was done 100% by me, and so will my future builds/upgrades.

cleaning the filters was disgsuting, look at the dust on my 70 quid trackies, don't wear designer clothes whilst doing anything to your pc i learn't today.

heres some dust.

great feature about the antec is how easy it is to get the grilles apart, took 6 screws and came straight out, maybe some modding to come here.

also, i could not get my netgear wireless adapter to work, (****ty support for windows 7 64 bit) also displaying some of the dust, as the fans above and beside it, dont have filters defz to be purchased soon!

list of parts i want/need in order of purchase.

corsair 850 hx modular psu
Tenda Wireless Adapter
powercolour hd6870 graphics card (xfire later down then line )
corsair h70
OCZ 60gb vertex 2E ssd
Asus Xonar Sound Card
dust filters
new faster and more ram (6/8gb of 1600mhz cl7 or cl6 if available?)
new keyboard and mouse
another samsung f3 for raid 0
HAF-x

if i have all that before i buy an haf-x i want to put a side window on my 300,
add a fan controller, some decent blue LED fans, and paint the inside black, then when i get my haf-x i can give the sweet finished case to my brother for like 20 quid, and he will propably get into pc gaming hopefully (yn)

anyway, thats it for now, i have 30 quid, and 2 blackberry 8900 curves i need to sell, so once they are sold, i can get my psu and stuff

actualy it doesnt look as nice BUT you can get decent cable managment with a non mod psu if you have the right case (and your psu cables are long enough)

Like mine for instance

no offence, but all i've heard about the 900/902 is its awful cable management, but you might be a wiz with metal work in all fairness, and my psu is a no name 750w that cost me like 40 quid for my first ever build, (dual athlon and 7600gso) so it wont haha, but keep an eye, soon i will, just too unsure whether to sell ps3 or not, which would fianance a few final pieces.

you are correct, the 900 DOES have horrible cable management as far as making it look PERFECT and clean, but i have managed to make it so that if any chords DO need to go across the mobo, they are nicely strung along a corner of somthing and through whatever it takes to blend them into the board itself.

i think to have a really clean looking case, you need a case that has a seperate compartment for the PSU so you dont see any of the cables coming from it at all.
