Try a Cherry ML keyboard:

http://cgi.ebay.com/CHERRY-ML4100-Ul...item255abee12c

(that picture is stock, not what yours will look like... some ebayer had a picture of some melted one a few years ago, and now it's the first google result so all the other sellers use it as well)

It uses a modification of the standard IBM matrix, no NKRO or "anti-ghosting". However, I gamed on it for over a month with no trouble at all.

"31. I am a gamer and need to press alot of keys at once...what is the maximum amount of keys can I press at one time?

For all USB Deck products there is a limit of 6 keys + modifier keys (shifts and alts) that can be pressed at any given time and still registered by your computer. This is limited by the USB specification. All Deck Legend PS2 products have full n-key rollover meaning you can press as many keys at the same time as you want and they should all register to your computer without "ghosting" as some call it."

You need PS2 for this. I have the full legend keyboard it's 6 keys plus shifts/alts. Granted my FPS controls are wonky. I don't think this board can convert to PS2 so if you want to know if it can be converted you have to ask Deck Tech Support or ask on their forums. They're friendly, they'll even take modified keyboards back depending that you don't damage it while doing the modifications. The full Deck Legend keyboard can be converted to PS2 with a 10K ohm resistor. I was going to convert mine but I don't have a resistor.

But compact keyboards aren't that popular so it will be hard to find something under this price that is mechanical, compact, and is backlit.

Otherwise you're going to have to try Cherry or a cheaper keyboard without guarantees of anti-ghosting:

I don't know if it has anti-ghosting though. I'm sure someone on these boards know. And no backlit if you need it.

This guy has a badass mod for the Deck Legend though:

Only reason I got a Deck = Mechanical, Backlit, Mod Friendly, No Ghosting.

All you need is a usb to ps2 adapter. No heavy modding necessary to get NKRO.

Not on a Deck. Resistor change needed.
