Looking to buy a new Graphics card. on a budget.

Hello everyone, im currently using a Radeon 4650, last month i aquired an extra Lcd that i use for some light gaming, and my offmonitor is now used to type on forums while Grinding. Now what ive noticed is that my main screan gets some flickering whenever i scroll on the offscrean, aswell as this its under immence load, so first of all, what would be a good Replacement card for the radeon 4650, Please note also that it should be a stand alone card as i dont think i have enough power in my psu for one of those fancy ones which require there own power supply.

Thanks for any suggestions (budget is : As cheap as possible)

You could grab something like a 5670 for ~ $100 (70 AMIR)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150467
or GTS 450 ~ 110 (90 AMIR)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814162063

Otherwise if you want to go MIR you can get a 460 for 105 (My recommendation would be on this, much better card for the $$)

I'm can see upgrading to improve your gaming performance, but honestly I would think flickering on the 2nd screen is a symptom of something else being wrong. Something like electrical interference, bad cable, or overexerted PSU. Although I guess the 4650 could be at fault.

There arent many upgrade options that dont require a 6pin PCI-E power connection. The best you could probably do would be a GT240 or 5760.

Screen flicker on AMD cards is actually not all that uncommon, especially on second displays. Nothing's wrong. It's just the way it is.

Budget cards.. Depends on your Budget. GTS 450, GTX 460 768mb, GTX 460 SE, Radeon HD 6850, HD 5770.

All of these require 6 pin PCIe connectors though.
Any of those will be a huge step up from a 4650.

What about this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-489-_-Product ? Its not a great bang for buck, but it fits your needs.

Its acutally the main screen that flickers, the second screen is perfect, the reason i think it would be the 4650 is because Its only my main screen that flickers and my main screen is a much higher resoloution that my second screen.

If he wants cheap as possible, why the hell are people saying GTX570 and 6870? He's gaming a 19in screen. He doesn't need that much GPU power.

I say go with a 768mb version of the GTX 460. Low power consumption and more than enough at your resolution.
