EVGA GTX 480 w/ Backplate

Thread Starter
I'm considering selling my GTX 480, maybe to drop to a couple GTX 560's or something. I received it from a 470 step-up less than a month after it was released, if I remember correctly. The following are just some details that I'll end up copying over to the sell thread if I sell it.
  • Stock VID is 1.063, I've kept it there for most of its life.
  • I haven't bothered to overclock, so I don't know its capabilities.
  • I cleaned up the TIM and replaced with AS5.
  • I don't have a thermometer, but I would imagine it's around 70-72F in this room. The card idles around 46C at 45% fan. In BC2 with Vsync, it holds 70C at 82%; Vysnc off, about 73C at 88%.
  • I had ordered both the backplate and the high airflow bracket from EVGA. The backplate installed flawlessly, but one of the screws on the backplate was stripped from factory, and I ended up scratching around it trying to get it off; never did.
  • Card is registered for EVGA's warranty, but I believe those are transferable.

EDIT: I LIED. I had it at 800/1850 Core/Mem all this time and I completely forgot. I think I was able to get a bit higher Core, but I stopped caring (it runs everything smoothly) and have yet forgotten.

Thanks in advance

Sadly, prices on 480's are dropping like rocks. I watched one sell for $259 yesterday on a different forum, and see one posted today for $240. SHIPPED.

EVGA warranties are NOT transferable. I'm gonna say $280 shipped if you want to get rid of it. If you're patient, you MIGHT get $300 for it.

That hurts to see... I'll have to try a few avenues of selling if I do. Bah, I wish 2011 games would come out sooner so I could decide whether I care for the upgrade to SLI 560's or not...

And just to reaffirm, another PAIR of GTX480's popped up on another forum for $255 each. Good for me ... bad for you.
