Idk I currently have a Iphone 4 and I compared it to my cousins Samsung Galaxy and I think IOS just runs smoother than Android. However, Android might be a little more snappy but nothing to worry about. A lot of people in these forums hate on Apple products just bc its by Apple. I love my Iphone 4 I can do everything I want on it and their is nothing lacking in my eyes.

Thread Starter
After doing a bit of research current droid is out of the question (EOL for droid X is supposed to be end of march)

Either going iPhone 4 or waiting on bionic.. most likely going to go with the bionic.

Got my Nexus S right now, but I have to admit that the iPhone 4 has fantastic battery life. Too bad android cant compare on that front.

-Relatively durable

If there is something that competes with this I'd like to see it, I don't know phones too well as I only really upgrade every 2 years and then leave it.
Those tons of apps you mention, are only what Job's will let you have. Their OS is locked down so you cant have all the best (often times free) apps that do more than you could have imagined. My droidx has 24gigs of memory, can you say that about the iPhone without adding an aftermarket SD card (though mine has an SD card, it came with the phone!). Androids are very robust and have more options and features that can be unlocked simply and easily than the iPhone.

I say thanks to iPhone though, for showing me what I dont want in a company. I like having open support and devs can more creative.

The only things I like about the iPhone 4 is bat life (which is easy to fix on droids) and screen rez, their screens, small though they are, are very sharp.

I have a droid X and have been very happy with it. I am by no means a photographer or anything like that but half the reason I got the phone was because I wanted a phone with a good camera on it and one that I could just hook up right to my tv for video etc. Here is a few pictures I took and played with using the free apps in market.

The only thing I don't like is using the touch screen to type on my X and the damn auto correct! But that is just me, I hit the wrong buttons alot and end up saying random wierd things to people lol.

Fail. The iPhone 4 is a phone. Android is a OS. Really the iPhone 4's battery life is OK not bad but not great. iPhone 4 has a none replaceable battery. Too bad the iPhone 4 cant compare on that front.
