Does that work and is that what I need? if so <3 ehow they make things SO much simpler

it's goign to be storming and lightning all weekend so I'd rather not risk a power outage and brick xD figured I might as well work on the boot drive though

I don't recommend that, I even had trouble with a 650 (good brand) but as long as you don't overclock at all!!! I think it will work, If you look there are good prices of 850's (not cheapo ones) the PSU is the one thing everyone tries to skimp on (even me) but it is very important that you get a good one

Yeah, sort of. At work ATM, so I am just collecting the steps, the boot drive and nvflash are set up and ready to go, its just I wont actually be able to physically get to my system til after work tonight. Looking through the steps ahead of time will help me not rush through it.

I have a spare card and lappy if anything goes wrong.

I will go over your settings before you flash and make sure there is not anything out of spec, as long as you take your time learn why and how this works everything should go smooth.

getting the usb flash drive set up is the hardest point just FYI, once you flash your card you will look back and wonder what was so hard. I know you will cause that is what I was feeling lol

Well I was a little confused with the HP boot drive set up, but then realized thats why I dl'd the win98 stuff. Once my brain stopped chasing random objects, things fell into place.

as I said the boot drive is the part no one understands or likes, all of us like to see (GUI) what we are doing but this has to be done with no GUI. So in a sense back to the old days of DOS and what fun those days were lol. I swear once you get done you won't believe how easy it is. I will be around, what time (EST please) will you ready to do this?
