Though EVGA is a great company, Those wouldn't let you down, either.

SLI'ing them... you may want a different top card or a backplate to protect the bottom card.
yes, I read a lot about them. So you saying for the second card to get reference EVGA 460?

i will not do water, definetly. you think 650 watt XFX PSU is not enough? Would 750 be enough? if 750 I can not do modular and will have to be regular Corsair 750TX ($100 MR) or the new one 80 plus BRONZE or Antec EarthWatts EA750 750W ($80) any thoughts?

650watt psu is usually more than enough. although if you want to be sure, please send us a link to the exact model. as long as u don't buy some cheapo "no-name" made in china white cube, it's all good.

if you're not gaming, there is no need for SLI.

EDIT found link on the page before. that XFX PSU is more than capable. going to last you a long time with plenty of upgrade options.

Well to tell the truth you relay need a 850 if you plan to overclock, that is a big argument about that but as I have a high OC'ed cards and CPU and fans light and water pump (wich is about the same as air coolers) during games I pull 725 watts constant with peeks to 785 watts so to be safe if you plan to do the same get the 850 plus if you eve upgrade board and or CPU it will come in handy the as well

This is only a opinion of me and a few others but what the hell do I know lol

EDIT: I should learn to read twice lol sorry 650 will be fine for HTPC wow thought you said you were a gamer wow lol

if you are just doing HTPC you mite want to just get twin GTS 450's and also no need to sli them as that won't help you there (relay only helps gaming) you can use the GTS450's to run multi screens and save some money if that is your only goal plus power requirements are a lot lower so cheeper to run as far as the power bill

Thanks. Slizone has this xfx rated for sli. So you saying if I get thus msi for $135 it will be fine for video edit/rendering and adding another msi for sli would not benefit me in any way??

Great. I am planning to OC 2500k SB on gigabyte z68 ud3h-b3 to not more than 4.5ghz and OC this msi to not more than 950mhz. So as I asked above, another msi for sli will not help me in any way for video edit/render?

that because you have a super oc on ur cards and cpu. you have SLI, he doesn't.
plus the 2500k sips power compare to ur 970.
I think 650 is good enough for any non-sli set up
and no, SLI will not help you with rendering. you must buy a faster card if u want faster rendering. SLI is only helpful in games.

the only benefit of having 2 GTS 450s is that you can run up to 4 monitors concurrently.

Oh. I see. So I guess sli is no need for me. So to see faster rendering which card would benefit me more and by how many %? I read on Tom's charts the hyper threading will help me 20% going with 2600k over 2500k CPU but difference between 2500k and top X6 Amd is so small is not even noticable. I wonder how faster cards like 470, 480, 560 ti, and 580 in video edit/render and by how much % with no sli ?

I could sworn you said you were getting two 460's that is why I said that! And it seems that you are not shore on what you want lol or I am just reading to much now as it went from not OC'ing at all and no gamer style rig and that was going to just watch movies with to the exact opposite? or did I read it wrong again? Please don't think I am picking on you or anything of the such I just am a little confused as your goal

Listed, but without card speeds. Could you post a GPUZ screenie or validation URL please?

You could also click on the User CP at the top of this page, then scroll down the left side to the Add System link and enter in your system specs in as much detail as possible. By that I mean 2 x 2gig G.Skil PC2-8500 CL5 ram instead of 4 gig ram, etc. That way we have some idea of what we are dealing with. While you are at it, go to the Edit Your Details link, then scroll down towards the bottom and fill in the Where You Live with at least your country. It makes things so much easier when people know what country you are from when recommending products.
