Hi. Brand new owner of a GTX 460, in particular the MSI Hawk Talon Attack Of Massive Doom. In trying to install it, I've come across a few questions.
Case: Xion XON-EC001 ATX Mid
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2P
First, the card's big.
Given the confines of my case, how much do you guys think this will influence air flow? It looks like it's basically partitioning my interior into a motherboard area and a PSU/rat's nest area. I have no side fans, only the front/bottom intake and the rear/top exhaust. There's a nice big square 'mesh' on the top/rear that I'm thinking of adding an exhaust fan to.
I'm very much open to advise on how to set up additional fans.
This concerns me a little. The GPU partially covers up the heatsink on what Gigabyte's schematic tells me is the motherboard's integral graphics/audio and sits slightly on that blue cable plugin-thingy (Sata?). Before I start plugging in anything I'd like to know if this warrants my concern, and if so how to go about fixing it.
Thanks in advance guys. Once this is up and running correctly I'll throw a pic up with my forum handle in there. Edited by BBEG - 7/7/11 at 12:28pm
