Ahh that sucks! Does it make that noise while idle as well or only when it's at full speed? I'm not to sure if oiling the fan will help....I too got them from Mwave since they had the best price.

well heres a pic of the keyboard mod i did on my Asus G53SW-A1 laptop.had to take the keyboard apart and add some green film to get the color change but turned out nice.now I have that lime green borg glow for my keys lol 448

More of a fan of ble lighting, but nice work.

I personally want to try and light the smoke/clear shoud on my GTX460 so it will glow, but lack Acrylic to do it, (I got LED's galore). Until I can get said Acrylic, I think I may take the fans out and wire in some LED's and IDK tape them to the shroud to point onto the clear fans. Just another one of my bored projects.

BTW, status update on my computer: Asus is currently listing my as "repairing as of 11/07/11", hopefully I will get my computer up and running by the end of the month and get some better numbers up for Ungine and 3DMark.

Wow, does that thing seriously have 7x PCI-E x16 slots? Make sure to get a **** cooling case, looks like there is a ton of cramped up parts in there. I'd love to check out the specs of that board.

Alright, so I am getting very agrivated waiting for my Motherboard to return from Asus. I understand that it takes more than a week to fix a motherboard, but this POS GTX260 is Ticking me off.

That being said, What do you guys think? Would a 550Watt Antec PSU power a AM2 Motherboard, 1 WD SATAII HDD, a SATAII DVD+/-RW DL, and my Gigabyte GTX 460 SE 1GB? I really do not want to have to swap PSU's also to get this thing going. I wouldn't be OCing it, just throw it in and let it run.

Thats a sexy motherboard. So can you say custom case, cause I don't know any regular case that can hold it. Also, be forewarned, MOST computer parts manufacturers only warranty their products X-amount of years from the time of Manufacturing, not purchase. Since it is a LGA1366, it has been around for quite some time on the public market, and the servers have been around even longer. warrantee may be void b4 you even buy it. That being said, GO FOR IT! While your at it, get you a decent water-cooled system too, and a bunch of GTX580's or Quatro's to go in it. Also, you do know that PCI-Ex16 slots are mostly backwards compatible with all the PCI-E revisions, so you could get a PCI-E Gigabit LAN, PCI-E sound card, the sky is the limit!

I may be a AMD fan, but making a modern Server computer into a regular Desktop, thats always fascinated me since my friend got his 4x Pentium 4 Server 6 years ago. You make a build thread, I'll follow it thumb.gif
