Cooler Prolimatech MK-13 with optional adapter for GTX460
I installed this cooler because the original was broked. I have not used the memory heatsinks, since it hadnt originally. I chose to keep the cooler kit untouched for a possible future VGA.
VGA and cooler are great, both easy installation and optimum performance.
Stable OC with 25 minutes OCCT VGA and several hours of BF3:
GPU: from 763MHz to 875MHz, and from 1.062V to 1.115V;
GDDR5: from 1900MHz to 2090MHz.
At 28°C environment, closed case, the GPU has a maximum of 74°C playing BF3. Note that this cooler could be assembled much more efficiently and with up to four 12cm fans.
BF3 runs smooth (constant 50FPS+) with the default video setting high, vsync on, and resolution 1280X1024 @ 75.
The CPU is an X4 965 @ 4GHz with 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL7.
I was unable to play BF3 over 10 minutes at 900MHz, even with1.2V and DDRs at default. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to try, or will I have reached the limit?
