Hey guys, I just got a couple gtx 460's, and I'd like to know what the max safe temp and 24/7 voltage is. Thanks.

Iz feelz your pain they don't even make my EVGA GTX 460 768mb version anymore I'd have to buy used and I have money to spend at EVGA >v< but none to just go out and buy a card...

I don't think you should buy another 768MB version of GTX 460 unless you don't play at 1080p with AA. Heaven 2,5 maxed out gets stucked at 16x12 when I try to run it redface.gif

I play at 1600x900 as I need things to look a bit bigger especially out of game as my monitor is about 6-8 feet from my futon (command center).

I wouldn't get another anyways I haven't got the cash for one (unless I get it from EVGA), so I'll probably wait for the prices of the 500 series to drop (hopefully to 400 series levels) and possibly ask for a new card for christmas and buy a duplicate with EVGA bucks.

I think you'll be okay, but don't exaggerate with the AA, it usually eats VRAM like a pie.

More to my post above, but I tend to like the look of 2-4x AA anyway, plus it spends more time folding than anything else, I'd say maybe 60% Folding, 30% Home Entertainment and Video Acceleration, 10% gaming. I generally use my Laptop's 460m and i7 for gaming; it allows me to get more comfortable.

2x is fine tongue.gif

I used to have an EVGA GTX 460 GPU. I loved it, but you don't really have to buy an EVGA card for SLI, any brand GTX 460 768MB would do, unless different card colors deter you thumb.gif

Nah it's more I know EVGA generally work (reliably), has decent RMA, and was only considering getting a new one so I had more vram and a bit more speed. But I'll be doing the TC for a bit at least and I'll be in linux so there really isn't any point yet. I do hope the prices drop because the current 500 series prices are outside of my gift range for the most part, and I don't have enough EVGA bucks for them either. Only $115-125 EVGA bucks depending on my folding this month.

Edit: I looked at galaxy's but idk something told me to stay away like the plague I didn't bother asking here about them. But no if they keep ticking and OC alright, yeah good deal.
